60"x48" acrylic painting

It seems as though I have taken a hiatus from writing in my art journal. It isn’t that I haven’t been creating but I have felt so inspired to paint and create with my hands that the idea of writing about my work hasn’t felt as important as creating it. I finished about 3 more 11″x14″ paintings as well as a 60″x48″ painting titled “Freedom”. When I titled “Freedom” I started to think about what birds really represent to me and what it is about them that makes them my point of interest. It really is their freedom to fly that gives me such wonder. Today I plan on going for a hike with my Mal and take some more reference photos before I head to my studio to paint. I would attempt to sketch but he can be a little demanding and might eat my charcoal pencils.   Thanks for reading!
