Ever wonder what 60 hours of work looks like in 10 seconds? It looks like this!

I am really happy that I finished this painting “Rehearsal”, 36″ x36″, Oil on Panel. Last week it was calling for me to finish it and instead of working on my other pieces I decided to focus my energy and finally finish her. The next steps now are to stain the sides and screw in heavy duty D-rings for hanging.
Things are moving along here in my new studio. It took a little while for me to get accustomed to the climate in the east coast in regards to paint drying time. I definitely took for granted how quickly oil dries during the winter in the Bay Area vs the East Coast. This oil on canvas painting is slowly coming along. It is one of several I am working on right now. Not sure if I will end up hanging this diptych by placing a hinge on the back or will just hang them together with a two/three inch space between. I’m on the fence so I think I will need hang it both ways when I am done and decide what the best way to showcase this piece will be.
