The Exhibition’s Opening Reception will be on July 11, 2015, from 6pm to 8pm at the museum, and pieces will remain on exhibit in the Museum’s Main Galleries until September 6, 2015. Metro Montage XV is a juried art show that will feature a montage of subject matter, media, and styles from contemporary artists.
This year’s juror is Robmat Butler. A graduate of The University of Tennessee’s MFA program in sculpture, Robmat now lives and works in Knoxville, TN. He received a BFA in Studio Arts with a minor in Art History from the University of South Florida. In addition to being the Preparator and Exhibitions Manager at The Knoxville Museum of Art, Butler is an active contemporary artist, whose work has been shown both nationally and internationally. His work has, most recently, been included in Miami’s Art Basel and featured in The Brevard Art Museum’s show Naval Gazing. He served as the Installation Coordinator for the DUMBO Arts Festival in Brooklyn , NY and is currently the co-chair for the Dogwood Arts Festival’s Art in Public Places sculpture program.
