I'm a morning person. I get up way before the neighbors rooster starts his all-day crowing routine. It’s my favorite time of day.

My palette changes with the seasons. In the fall, I'm drawn to warm colors like orange, red, and yellow. These colors remind me of the changing leaves and the crisp autumn air.

🌅 When Nature and Imagination Collide

🌅 I started painting this piece in April, and it was a slow process to complete. What's interesting about it is that I traveled to New Mexico in May to meet up with a friend. We were in the town of Truth or Consequences, which is actually the name of the town. There is a mountain range there called Turtleback Mountain.

🌅 While I was standing there watching the full moon rise over the mountain, it dawned on me that I was working on a painting that looked exactly like the mountain range I was seeing. It's incredible when nature and imagination collide.

🌅 I'm so thrilled with how this painting turned out, and I've titled it

"Sunrise". It's 40" x 40", DM for details
