Speechless

Words cannot begin to describe how much love I felt this past weekend at my Open Studio. I am so grateful to have such an amazing community. To those of you who I just met for the first time, thank you for being a part of my last San Francisco Open Studio. To all of you who I have known for a while, thank you for your continued support. I am looking forward to my move to the New York Metropolitan Area. I’m excited and nervous about this change but I know just as I navigated the art scene in San Francisco I will do the same again in a much bigger arena.

If  you weren’t able to attend my Open Studio but wanted to see my work in person please reach out to me for a private studio visit. I will be scheduling visits until November 25th. shiloratner@gmail.com

Connecting to Current (work in progress)

Like most of my paintings this painting has a little bit of a story to it. The title was inspired by the meditation room in Abadiania, Brazil. There is a room called “The Current” which references connecting to the current of consciousness. It is hard to describe the feelings that take place in you when you walk into a room with 400 meditators. It’s awe inspiring and really beautiful to have strangers pray with love and healing.

Connecting to Current, 24″ x 24″, Oil on Panel (work in progress)
In this painting the two figures in the background symbolize our physical connection to humanity. The dark blue horizontal line represent the sea of consciousness that connects us.
