Teaching my favorite class “Intuitive Painting” for the next four Fridays over zoom. It’s definitely a great way to embrace your creative essence.
Description: During these uncertain times, it is important to embrace creating from the heart. This all-level intuitive painting class explores using your own unique creative process in developing art. Learn to play and embrace paint from a place of no judgment. Students will be introduced to classroom exercises, guided meditation, poetry, and music. No prior painting experience necessary.
Things are moving along here in my new studio. It took a little while for me to get accustomed to the climate in the east coast in regards to paint drying time. I definitely took for granted how quickly oil dries during the winter in the Bay Area vs the East Coast. This oil on canvas painting is slowly coming along. It is one of several I am working on right now. Not sure if I will end up hanging this diptych by placing a hinge on the back or will just hang them together with a two/three inch space between. I’m on the fence so I think I will need hang it both ways when I am done and decide what the best way to showcase this piece will be.
This piece titled “Relaxed”, 12″ x 12″, oil on Panel is being shipped out this week to Fort Collins Lincoln Center’s Annual Contemporary Art Survey. The works chosen present a survey of contemporary art in America. The Guest Curator for this exhibition is Dean Sobel, Executive Director of the Clyfford Still Museum in Denver, CO. #art#artist#artwork#painting#meditation#sanfrancisco
