Eric Aho

Eric Aho was born in Melrose, Massachusetts in 1966, and in 1974, moved with his family to Hudson, New Hampshire. After studying at the Central School of Art and Design in London, Aho received his BFA from the Massachusetts College of Art in Boston. In 1989, he participated in the first exchange of scholars between the U.S. and Cuba in over thirty years. Aho completed his graduate work at the Lahti Art Institute in Finland supported by a Fulbright Fellowship in 1991/92 and an American-Scandinavian Foundation grant in 1993. His paintings have been exhibited and collected widely in the United States and abroad. Since his earliest projects, Aho has joined historical research, personal inquiry, and a close reading of the landscape together with reverie and delight in experiencing the natural world reinvigorating what it means to paint the landscape today. He lives and works in Saxtons River, Vermont.

Mystic Museum of Art Reception

Mystic Museum of Art Reception

Had a great time at the Mystic Museum of Art reception. This time around my very supportive family was able to attend with me. Here are just a few pictures I was able to capture during the event. Honestly, I am so caught up in the moment I forget to take pictures but I am going to put forward the intention to start taking more

Mystic Museum of Art Article

There was an article written by author Amy J. Barry in The Day Connecticut about the Mystic Museum of Art Exhibition and my painting “The Mindfulness of Tea” was mentioned.

Excerpt: “It has Vermeer-like stillness despite its successful abstract nature,” Lustenader says. “It conjures up Balthus’s work, yet remains original. It has great spatial relationships.”
