I grew up on the Massachusetts coast, and I've been drawn to the quiet order of the natural world ever since: the way mountains meet the sky, the rhythm of a shoreline, the shift of light at the end of the day.
Rather than paint what I see, I rebuild it. I look past the surface of a place to the geometry underneath, the tension between mass and void and the spatial relationships that hold it together. Each painting begins as that structure and becomes an image through layers of color and form.
From my studio in Connecticut, I create original paintings and collages for modern interiors, private collections, and public spaces.
